Jurgen Drews, MD
Chairman, Scientific Advisory Board

Dr. Drews is currently Managing Partner of a private equity fund at Bear Stearns. He is the author of the 1999 book In Quest of Tomorrow's Medicines and brings 40 years of experience in clinical and academic medicine and the pharmaceuticals industry to his position as Chairman of Warren Pharmaceuticals' Scientific Advisory Board.

Dr. Drews received his MD from the Free University of Berlin and carried out postdoctoral work at the University of Frankfurt and Yale University. From 1986 to 1997, Dr. Drews was President of Global Research and Development and a member of the Executive Committee at Hoffman-La Roche. From 1970 to 1978 he was Head of Microbiology at the Sandoz Research Institute in Vienna.

Dr. Drews is on the Board of Directors of several biotech companies in Germany and the US including Human Genome Sciences, Protein Design Labs and Genaissance Pharmaceuticals.
