Frans Wuite, MD, MBA

Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Wuite has 20 years of experience in the international pharmaceutical and biotech industry, having held positions in sales, marketing, product development and senior management.  He joined Warren Pharmaceuticals from Amgen in 2005. As Director of Aranesp Marketing and member of the European management team, Dr. Wuite spearheaded the commercial development and launch of Amgen’s biggest product in Europe. Aranesp is now the leading product in the European EPO markets and it has had the fastest post-launch sales uptake of any product in oncology in Europe.

Prior to joining Amgen in 1997, Dr. Wuite served as President of Pharmacia-Leiras BV, a joint venture for sales and marketing of novel hormonal products for women’s health care in Europe.  Dr. Wuite started his career in the pharmaceutical industry at AKZO’s pharmaceutical business unit, Organon, were he worked at national affiliates launching products in reproductive medicine and diabetes, as well as at Organon’s international headquarters, leading global marketing and commercial product development of Organon’s CNS Active Drugs.

Dr. Wuite received his M.D. from the University of Groningen in 1986, and his MBA from the Catholic University of Brabant in Tilburg, the Netherlands, in 1992.
